This year, the best architects award celebrates a special anniversary: for 20 years, it has been synonymous with pioneering architecture in Europe.

This year's award-winning projects focus on very special qualities: resource conservation, reuse, social context and sustainability. Renovation instead of new construction, intelligent extension of existing buildings, responsible use of existing resources – all these factors characterise contemporary architecture.

The 428-page publication showcases the award-winning projects of the best architects 26 award, which exemplify the dynamic development of contemporary architecture.

The new best architects book is wrapped in a banderole of large circles. The openings between them reveal subtle glimpses of the fluorescent red linen cover. This creates an exciting interplay of material, colour and form, giving the cover a special depth. A light blue screen print lies on the bright red linen surface, creating a subtle shimmering effect that makes the title appear energetically charged. An extraordinary object that presents the award-winning works in a dignified form.
