The »best architects« award is one of the most prestigious distinctions for architecture and a barometer of the latest developments in the top segment of the field. The award is widely recognised as a seal of quality for outstanding architectural achievements, positioning the award-winners at the forefront of the european architecture scene.

This year the jury will consist of:

    Clancy Moore architects, Dublin, IRL
  • Prof. Felix Waechter
Waechter + Waechter Architekten, Darmstadt, D
  • Daniel Zamarbide

They will together select the best projects in the categories:

Renovation and addition · Residential buildings · Office and administrative buildings · Commercial and industrial buildings · Education buildings · Public buildings · Infrastructure buildings · Other buildings · Interior design

The label »best architects 23« will be bestowed on all of the winning architects or architecture firms. The label »best architects 23 in gold« only goes to a small number of projects, namely the best in their category. Assessment criteria include outstanding architectural quality along with functionality, spatial conception and technical implementation. Special attention is directed to how the building blends in with the surroundings as well as to the form, aesthetics and general quality of the architecture.
