Description
Long, short, thin, thick, fresh, old and very old wooden planks, waiting patiently on well-sorted wood piles for a new lease on life, were used for this building. The wooden planks were stacked one atop the other, flush on the inside so that a relief created by the different plank widths emerged outside. The plank-on-plank construction, which requires no further bracing, forms both façade and load-bearing structure in one. The corners of the building were formed similar to a log cabin. Each layer was dovetailed individually. The elements were prefabricated at the factory. Thanks to the building corners already attached to the wall elements, the garage could be erected in a very short time. The green flat roof with plants hanging from the edges is designed to embed the building in the landscape over the course of time.
