Description
This new house is characterised by a layered basement, an open-plan, light and airy ground floor and a striking metal roof. Simple, aesthetic, high-quality materials emphasize the clear lines of the building. The house is skilfully designed to interact with its exterior surroundings. With its generous glass façade, the dining and living area has a beautiful view of the Birs river valley and the Jura mountains beyond. Wide sliding doors open onto the garden, giving the impression of more space. Outside, differently landscaped zones lead down a slope to the main part of the garden. From the “morning” garden, which faces east, via the shady “lounge” beneath the pergola to the pool on the western boundary – each individual part of the garden has been exactly aligned to the points of the compass and the direction of the sun.
