Description

The property is located on Südtiroler Platz in Graz, close to the Kunsthaus. The former headquarters of the Austrian Trade Union Federation, which before that was a hotel called »Zum Elephanten«, will be augmented by two storeys for use as a residential, office and commercial building. In addition, a new six-storey residential building will be built onto the existing block and a two-storey underground car park added. The ground floor as well as the existing hall annex in the inner courtyard will become the commercial zone. A total of 63 condominiums will be created: On the pre-existing levels of the historic building, apartments of a »high standard« are planned, featuring balconies overlooking the inner courtyard. The two-storey rooftop addition is conceived as an independent sculptural element housing luxury apartments with spacious roof terraces. The new building hence offers a variety of living standards, from ground-floor garden apartments, to upscale flats with balconies and loggias on the upper floors, to luxury penthouses with terraces.
