Description
The family house is located on a steeply sloping landscape in Marly. It faces the edge of the forest, while the neighbourhood behind it is very heterogeneous. The building is deliberately set at the top of the plot, with only the entrance connecting to the rest of the neighbourhood. The project has two floors, both aligned toward the forest. The openings are either on the south or the west façade and face the forest. The daytime area is on the upper floor, with a terrace surrounded by the treetops. This space serves as a transition between dining and living area. The stair to the lower floor is in the centre of the building and allows access to the bedrooms. Thanks to a skylight, the corridor on the lower level enjoys daylight. There is a separate door leading out to the garden. Two different shades of material were used in the building: whitish concrete and wood. The contrasting wood emphasises the cuts and openings in the volume of the building.
