Description

The project for the Energie 360° headquarters, originally conceived as an extension following a competition win, was resumed after the pandemic as a careful transformation of the existing building from 2003. Rather than constructing an addition, the project focused on unlocking the potential of the 20-metre-high structure and converting it into a modern, flexible working environment. Today, it accommodates 330 desk-sharing workstations for around 400 employees, together with communal facilities including a reception area, marketplace and staff canteen. The transformation centred on renewing the architectural expression and redesigning the interiors to create an open and collaborative office landscape. At the same time, the redesign of the outdoor spaces strengthens their public character and improves their integration into the urban environment. The new photovoltaic façade combines sustainable on-site electricity generation with a distinctive architectural identity. Inside, natural materials, flexible layouts and carefully integrated greenery create a pleasant working atmosphere. Sustainability forms the basis of the project: climate-adaptive open spaces, renewable energy and resource-conserving infill development ensure long-term efficiency. Through the careful adaptation of the existing structure, a contemporary and identity-defining workplace has emerged that preserves the building’s character while providing a solid foundation for the company’s future development.
