Description

The new Innovation Factory building forms the prelude and conclusion to the Neckaruferpark and at the same time a harmonious ensemble with the existing building. The transparent appearance of the square structure, which is glazed on all sides, corresponds to the guiding principle of the Innovation Factory. The sustainable, resource-saving timber building is visible from afar; the logic of the construction determines its appearance and becomes a recognisable feature that creates an identity. Bright, light-flooded communication and meeting zones around a central hall invite the inventors, founders and creative workers of the start-ups to exchange ideas and find inspiration. The hall forms the centre and allows for easy orientation. All workstations in the rooms of different sizes are located on the upper floors in a ring around this communal heart. The room proportions allow for a wide variety of concepts, either as an open-plan office landscape or as combined or cellular offices. Inside, a friendly and stimulating atmosphere is created as a prerequisite for pleasant working alone or in a group. The glazing of the offices looking onto the communication zones creates sightlines that promote dialogue and reinforce the desired workshop-like character.
