Description
The originally inhospitable plot of only 1,891 square metres is to be developed as densely as possible. A total of 84 apartments as well as offices, commercial space and 72 parking spaces in the car park will be accommodated on 8,050 square metres of floor space, equivalent to a utilisation ratio of 4.25. The residential building is located in the immediate vicinity of the railway station and the historic centre of Münchenstein. The retail space and generous outdoor areas are directly integrated into the urban context. In addition to nine residential storeys, the building comprises two underground carpark storeys. The geometry of the building allows for generous views and multiple orientations of the flats. The main atrium, which provides access to ten flats per floor, was designed as a meeting space and is naturally lit by a large skylight.
