Description

With its clear and precise structure, the newly erected company building brings a sense of order to the otherwise heterogeneous surroundings. With due regard to room height requirements, the production and administrative functions are housed together in two adjacent buildings. For the administration, the design is a two-storey solid building around a green inner courtyard. This courtyard creates a pleasant ambience and work environment while also guaranteeing a self-evident spatial connection between “blue and white collar” for industrial production. The production hall spans an area of approx. 4,000 square metres. Three sawtooth rooves create a rhythmic silhouette. The staggering of the building elements and the meandering roofscape make for a distinctive building typology. In this expressive and brand-building architecture, the precisely joined metal façade stands for the main material of the metalworking company as well as its high quality standards, precision work and expertise. The production hall is clad in sheet steel with trapezoidal protrusions and deep recesses running horizontally. By contrast, the administration building deliberately sets itself apart with a precisely joined flat aluminium façade. The façade of the production building thus appears as a light, textile-like skin, with the administration building as monolithic counterpart.
