Set at the southern end of the Neckarpark quarter, the new building blends into the surrounding structures in accordance with the strict urban planning framework and, thanks to its typical urban configuration, creates a visual and physical connection from the Wasen site to the «Green Centre» of the new quarter. Above the ground floor, which is open to the public and offers space for restaurants, services and retail, there are three to five office floors. The newly developed site offers a high level of sound insulation and turns the «Green Centre» into a quiet inner-city green space and recreational area. The selected clinker brick façade material echoes other local façades and also creates a direct link to the listed city archives nearby. The office building and city archives are connected diagonally across the central green space of Neckarpark. Generous green façade areas form densely planted and evergreen «living walls» that serve to improve the urban climate in the new quarter.
