Description
The detached houses built for two siblings returning home interlock with the pre-alpine landscape on the edge of the village, taking into account the gentle topography. Looking out into the distance, the two buildings form both a farmstead-like setting and a green space through their positioning. As similar as the houses are in terms of materials, they are very different in their layout, proportions and construction. Just like siblings. With local ties and yet individualist, strict and yet playful. The reciprocal relationships between the houses are the theme. Elements typical of the location were carefully developed further. However, the external clarity is contrasted with a variety of different spatial moods inside. Smaller, introverted rooms meet spacious, high-ceilinged rooms. The predominant materials of brick, concrete and wood are often left raw and accentuated with bold colours.
