Description
Remshalden
is one of the 16 locations of the 2019 Remstal Garden Show, which stretches
over a distance of 80 km along the River Rems. The Rose Pavilion is situated at
the highest point of the new public park, providing an
all-round view of the landscape. It picks up on the tradition of an open music
pavilion and serves as a stage, a meeting place and a visible landmark of the
garden show grounds. A reciprocal, load-bearing roof structure rises up from
its pentagonal footprint, its supports resting upon each other so that the
spans are gradually reduced, closing the roof in a series of rings. In addition
to the structure’s playful geometry, which pavilion visitors take time to
perceive, the pavilion also recalls the beauty of a rose.
