Description
The expansion of the MeCrì museum was conceived as an exhibition pavilion featuring formal and volumetric qualities in keeping with the local urban fabric – as a house for art that reveals itself for what it is. The project establishes a dialogue with the pre-existing stone wall surrounding the building plot, a precarious element listed by the heritage authority. Studio Inches Architettura has created an adjacent, new washed concrete wall that will bear witness to the stone wall once it has collapsed, and which determines the layout of the new exhibition space.
