Description

The office building is the new headquarters of the Wüst und Wüst real estate company in Küsnacht, which special-ises in exclusive residential properties. The mushroom-shaped structure has a support-free ground floor and three upper storeys. With its floating look, the volume forms a striking eye-catcher on Seestrasse and a sculptural antithesis to the traditional houses surrounding it. It thus conveys a special status that fittingly reflects the corporate identity of the company Wüst und Wüst. The column-free overhang on all four sides provides covered parking spaces. Atop a base and soffit clad in travertine slabs are set large window frames in polished, anodised aluminium. Inside, the foyer with a closed stairwell leads up to the open, light-flooded office storeys with their huge, artfully framed windows, effectively staging the panoramic views over the lake and the Albiskette mountain range in the background.
