Description
The two new buildings, the community hall and the future day-care centre, are offset in relation to each other and to the village structure in order to form a new village centre. Various outdoor areas are created, which are both interconnected and clearly differentiated. The foyer acts like an extension of the village square, and the multipurpose hall also opens up toward another outdoor area. The kitchen and administrative offices on the upper floor are accessed through a separate entrance in the north. The various areas inside the building are offset from one another, echoing the layout of the grounds. The community hall was built over a pre-existing civilian bomb shelter, which has now been extended to create a basement housing technical facilities and cloakrooms for the multi-purpose hall. The floor plan of the community hall was designed in such a way that the additional loads are borne by the outer walls and cross-walls rather than the bunker.
