Description

Walking down a winding path leading through a semi-public park, one arrives at an exclusive apartment house. A spacious central hall that recalls a hotel lobby offers interior access to five flats. Thanks to nested volumes, every apartment enjoys individual views and maximum privacy. The over-height rooms and the slight shifts at each level create gallery-like areas and interesting interior sight lines. The design evokes the look of horizontal rock layers emerging from the leafy slope. Following the terrain, the individual volumes form an exciting live-in sculpture with a wide variety of different viewing angles. As a further stylistic element, staggered cut-out patios and carefully set windows hint at the spatial complexity inside.
