When a fire necessitated the restoration of their clubhouse, the shooting association used the opportunity to enlarge the clubroom to fit their growing requirements. By using unconventional materials on the interior and simple detailing, it was possible to do the construction on a limited budget. The gable height increases with the public nature of the spaces within, culminating in a sheltered open-air seating area. The intact part of the building, which houses the shooting range, and the new section were enveloped in a new red façade cladding that unifies the different parts of the building into an interesting single volume while setting a striking mark on the agricultural landscape.
