Description

With its distinctive architectural vocabulary and commanding position, the pavilion embodies the values of the talsee brand that is showcased within. A tall two-storey portico surrounds the building, creating a roofed envelope of space interspersed with irregularly arranged columns. This space creates the necessary atmospheric distance between inside and outside while also providing adequate shade for the glazed façades. The reflecting pool on two sides further enhances the noble air of the building and makes it appear to float above the site. Visitors reach the entrance via a tree-lined field, crossing a slightly inclined ramp over the reflecting pool. Upon entering the building, they are greeted by the soaring central atrium, which is accentuated through a spatial arrangement of aluminium chains. The rooms are organised around this central hall: in addition to the showrooms on the ground floor, the new building also houses office space on the first floor, as well as further functional rooms.
