Situated outside the village, the house with its adjacent barn was too big to be renewed in its totality. Only elements that could be easily renovated were preserved, i.e. cellars and former living areas. The rest was demolished. The double-sided roof was replaced by tinted concrete walls and the volume altered. The spacious windows thus created improve lighting. The geometric superstructures are the result of both a formal desire and the wish to reduce the thickness of the walls. The different inclinations of the walls near the windows produce an interplay of shadow and light throughout the day. There are no corridors. Circulation occurs along the external walls, from room to room. The view extends beyond the living area and out across the surrounding countryside.
