Description
On the derelict plot of a former filling station, new urban space was developed taking historical urban planning into consideration: converting the unused lot, interpreting the volume of the surrounding monuments and historical urban planning (broadening and narrowing of the road). An expressive, white façade is a distinctive urban characteristic. The six-storey building is located on the corner of a 6,000 sqm site, with 14,700 sqm gross floor area, 220 underground parking spaces and green roof terraces. Two separate entrances and four service units provide convenient, flexible and efficient use of space for about 600 workplaces. In addition to its use as an office building and showroom, a fine restaurant with patio dining is located on the premises. The façade is constructed of narrow anthracite powder-coated aluminium profiles and non-bearing large pure-white aluminium frames that discretely include solar shading and fall protection. The building draws its expressive character from the surrounding urban space and powerfully translates it into the architectural language of the 21st century.
