A formation of two and three storey pavilions is placed in the scenic landscape along the banks of the river Saale. The shifted arrangement of the different parts of the structure creates varied kinds of interspaces, which evoke a village-like character. The entrance to this housing complex is defined by the community centre and a plaza. A footpath crossing the whole area leads to the different pavilions. Two of them are accessed by one staircase, which ends up in a green roof terrace. A distinctive feature of this project is the prefabricated façade with integrated desks, racks and balconies. Thus, spacious rooms are created on a few square meters. Natural materials, such as circular kiln bricks and bare Siberian larch, constitute a high degree of durability and user acceptance through haptic surface quality in combination with solid manufacturing.
